There’s nothing quite like a newborn session that starts with soft snuggles… and then instantly turns into complete sister-powered chaos. Cora snoozed like an absolute angel, despite the slight chaos that was happening with her 3 older sisters. At one point, someone transformed a blanket into a superhero cape and started running around, another one decided sitting still was overrated, and the third was demanding snacks for her participation.
And while some might think some chaos like this is a challenge, I truly love it. These are the moments that make a family session real - there were still smiles and laughter, even if mom and dad were a little stressed asking everyone to behave. Perfectly posed photos are beautiful, but the candid ones full of personality are the ones that tell the real story. Documenting families exactly as they are - superhero capes, negotiations, and all - is my favourite part of this job.
